I am a husband and father of three girls. I have been an educator for 22 years. I started as a middle school Science teacher in McKinleyville, CA and am now a principal of an elementary school in Shasta Lake, CA just north of Redding. I love where I live because of all the outdoor activities it offers. My greatest passion is fly-fishing. You cannot beat a tight line.
When Michael fist told me about his Ride Across America, I thought it was a crazy adventure. The more I thought about it, I realized I am just crazy enough to be a part of this adventure. Finally, after given the option to be part of the crew for the first week I adjusted my schedule and made it happen.
I am excited about this being a once in a lifetime adventure. I love seeing the reaction on people’s face as I explain the task and that I actually know someone who is able and willing to take it on. I am proud to be part of the team that will need to build the chemistry to accomplish this monumental task.
I am dedicated to following commitments through. I hope to bring this element to Michael and the team to keep riding on as challenges are put before us. I also hope to add some humor throughout our travels to lighten any stress along the way.
Unfortunately, I am not schedule to be with Michael and the team when he crosses the finish line. However, I will be giving long distance support however I can. I can only imagine the excitement, joy, accomplishment and exhaustion that will be celebrated at the finish line.
